Privacy Policy
MonyWiser (“we”, “us”) is operated by MonyWiser Studio, India. This policy explains what personal data MonyWiser processes, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the MonyWiser Android app and the MonyWiser web app.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address, your display name, and the sign-in method you use (email and password, or Google). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us in readable form.
- Financial data you enter: account names and balances, transactions, categories, budgets, bills and commitments, savings goals and contributions, and notes. An account may optionally include a bank name or account number. You can leave these blank.
- Subscription data: whether you have MonyWiser Pro, which plan, and when it expires. Payments are processed by Google Play. We never see your card or bank details.
- Technical data: standard server logs, such as IP address and request times, kept by our hosting and database providers for security and reliability.
We do not run advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the app, and we do not sell your data.
2. Why we use it
- To create and run your account and sign you in.
- To store and sync your financial records across your devices.
- To calculate figures such as Safe to Spend, budget progress and reminders.
- To provide MonyWiser Pro and check your subscription status.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
3. Where data is stored
Your financial records are stored on your device, so the app works offline. When you are signed in, they are also stored in our cloud database, hosted by Supabase in the Asia-Pacific region. Your device keeps a local copy, which is cleared when you sign out or delete your account.
App lock uses your phone’s own fingerprint, face or PIN. MonyWiser never receives that information.
4. Service providers
- Supabase: authentication, database and storage.
- RevenueCat: subscription management. Your MonyWiser account ID is used as the subscriber ID.
- Google: Google Play billing, and Google sign-in if you choose it.
- Cloudflare: hosting for this website and the web app, and the domain.
These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your records are removed from our cloud database. Backups held by our providers are removed on their normal schedule. Purchase records kept by Google Play and RevenueCat follow their own retention rules.
6. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and similar laws, you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data, including by deleting your account in the app;
- withdraw consent, and raise a grievance with us.

7. Children
MonyWiser is not intended for anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to cloud records is limited to the owning account by database access rules. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.
